scorecasting games

Post by dojoboy » Wed Jun 09, 2010 6:54 pm

I am scoring games for a few different teams playing in different leagues (Spring, Summer, Fall). When people visit the iscorecast.com site and enter my ID, is there any way that I can "turn off' the games that are out of season so that viewers don't have access to them?

For example, my son plays school ball, and then in the summer plays travel ball. I don't want to allow people from the travel ball team to see the school ball games.

Is this possible?

If you log in to the Admin Website for your device (Options->Admin Website), you can remove any Scorecasts you no longer want available (from the first tab there). If you ever want to re-post them, you can do that by going to Game Manager, selecting the game, and selecting "i-Scorecast Syncrhonize".

Okay, so it has to be done by deleting those scorecasts then, right? I just thought that maybe it could be done by league or team.

The list that appears when you log in to the iScorecast screen with a Customer ID will always show all iScorecasts available for that device. So yes, you would have to delete the scorecasts you no longer want available.

dojo - FTM generally tries to not overly 'push' their team web site service (since it is an extra 20$/fee).. but I will make the suggestion for them.. Team web sites are a great way to seperate things by team and then within teams by leage. You also get game specific isocrecats urls.

if your teams could afford individual team websites, i think you will find them very user friendly and give you both seperation and flexibility

before team web sites, i had the same problem, different leagues and teams resulting in a long confusing list on iscorecentral sign in page. .. Since team web sites, I no longer even use that master listing page. instead every one goes to their specific team and each game has its own unique iscorecast link... much more user friendly. .
