slow or delay

Post by uemjg » Sun Oct 28, 2012 1:56 pm

Why does it seem to take seconds to score a play? When there is no one on base the delay is not a factor, but with runners on base and you have to input "plays" for each runner this takes so long that the next hitter is already into his count.

I've deleted other apps from ipad and no help...I do not have icast on.

Sounds like you updated to iOS6? There are slowdowns in the app with iOS6. We are hoping Apple's next iOS6 update will fix this, and we are also working on ways to fix it from our end. For now, before scoring a game, do the following:

1. Exit out of iScore completely.
2. Double tap Home button to bring up running apps in bottom tray
3. Press and hold iScore icon in bottom tray until it starts shaking. Press the "-" to stop iScore from running (if you see an "x" instead of a minus, it is the wrong one ... do not press that. Start over at step 1)
4. Press and hold the power button and home button on your device until the Apple Logo appears (this is a hard reset)

You should now be able to score at normal speed.

That appears to have worked...along with a running clock displayed when "play" is tapped has it been considered to do a count down clock to zero as well or maybe option to show clock either running "up" or "down"?

We will not likely be adding a count down as the count up allows for any length game whereas a count down would have to a lot more considerations that would have to be put in place (Drop Dead time, No new inning time, etc).
