Game Recap Stories Capability

Post by teamchampion02 » Mon Jun 18, 2012 8:25 am

Have you guys considered giving the app the ability to take the statistics generated in a game, and create a post-game recap in a story form? By this, I mean a true "in the top of the 4th, the Tomahawks took a 2 run lead thanks to the homerun by Smith off a 0-2 pitch. In the 6th, Jones struck out the side......etc etc etc"?

I think something like this would be a good subscription-based feature - depending upon the amount of content the app generates. If the app had the capability to provide a full, news-style article, which could also be published to the iScore team website (I'm envisioning an all-in-one push when you export the stats) - I would estimate that capability might be worth an additional $10-$15/year upgrade.

This would be an awesome addition to the app that would be great for us to post onto our team's website and local, small town media.

If there were enough people willing to pay for this, and it was enough to cover our expenses for integrating with a partner, we would add this capability. The few times it has come up (you can search the forum to see other times), there has not been a lot of people getting behind the idea.

I think the other times were from the same OP :-)

I think it would be cool, but really depends on the cost and how good the technology is.

FTM - have you made any inquiries into this with potential partners? If it could be set up as a true add-on purchase, you could provide to those that are willing to pay. If you could set up a no-risk relationship with a partner, it would make a lot of sense.

This definitely should be added. I would like to move to iScore but the auto-created recaps are what is keeping me from changing. Adding this to iScore would definitely make me switch apps.

I would definitely be interested in this! In fact, for the last week, I've been playing with a competitive product because it has this feature and the parents of the team want it. However, I love scoring with iScore. I would absolutely pay a premium price for this feature. I believe many people who score would, even if you don't have a lot of feedback within this community. A lot of your users would be migraters from your top competitor.

FTM did look into this and determined that at this time, it isnt feasible.

Here is the thread:

Hopefully, sometime in the future they are able to work something out.
