Game yesterday, runner on first. Batter grounds to shortstop right on second base bag, steps on bag, throws to first.
There was no quick out 6-3 double play. Scored the ground outs/force at second, and my stats say "DOUBLE PLAY!", but I noticed it did not show the batter as grounding into the double play (GDP). How can I fix this post game, and what did I do wrong initially?

Make sure on the hit type that you have selected Grounder. You can go to pitch by pitch and edit the play... you will have to re-enter the hit location, and be sure to select Ground ball.

Re: Scoring unassisted double play
That's the thing. On the pitch by pitch, where it says double play, it only allows me to record that out at first base; second base is ghosted out for the runner who was at first. Is there no way to edit that second out, which was actually the first out? The scoring showed grounder already, but it's like I scored it differently?

Make sure the out at first base is marked as Ground Out, and also that the hit type was Grounder. Make sure the out at second base is marked as Double Play (not force out or tag out or anything else).

Re: Scoring unassisted double play
Sorry, not trying to be a pain. I started a new game, put a runner on, then had the next runner ground into a double play. I can see that in the stats.
The problem with my actual game I am trying to fix, is it only allows me to edit the type of out for the runner at FIRST base. Second base is ghosted out. These youth games are tough to score sometimes, with all the substitutions inning to inning.
The difference here is definitely that I can't edit the base runner being out at second base, because second, third, and home are all ghosted out.
In my sample game, if I try and edit that play, first, third and home are ghosted out, the out can only be recorded at second. Did I do something in game that locks which base the out can be made at?
Thanks for your help.

Re: Scoring unassisted double play
On the play-by-play screen, you should have a bunch of edit buttons. It goes:
SUBSTITUTION [EDIT]
BATTER'S AT BAT DETAIL [EDIT]
RUNNER CLOSEST TO HOME [EDIT]
NEXT RUNNER [EDIT]
NEXT RUNNER [EDIT]
BATTER-RUNNER DETAIL [EDIT]
NOTE [EDIT]
Make sure that you are pressing the edit button for the appropriate runner. In this case it should look something like this:
SUB [EDIT]
Batter grounds out on the throw from (shortstop) to (first baseman). [EDIT]
DOUBLE PLAY! [EDIT] <---This is the button you want.
ETA: I just put it in myself and I think I know what you did, because it works for me, but on the runner at first when I put her (or him, I score HS girls softball games) out, I made sure to tap second before I put her out. My guess is that when you put out the runner you forgot to tap the second base tab initially and now it won't let you change it. I would e-mail FTM and see if they can fix it.
