adding a courtesy runner

Post by jgale » Fri Apr 20, 2012 6:08 pm

I had a roster with only 9 players. During the game the other team had a courtesy runner for the batter that reached 1st. I clicked on the runner and then courtesy runner. It went to the roster to pick a courtesy runner but they were not on the roster. There was no button to add a new player. How do I do that? do i have to show the starting line up and add a new player there before picking a courtesy runner? That can take too long when trying to score the game as it continues.

Thanks, JG

Yes. The app assumes you have all players on the roster.

Would need to add from Show Starting lineup and presumably set player to batting = no.

jgale, situations like that are why I always add a couple of "extra" players to an opponent's roster before each game. Then, when you need to add a courtesy runner or other sub, it's easy to make the substitution and quickly change that extra player's jersey number. If the opponent ends up not having extra players, I just delete them post-game.

That's what I thought I would need to do.

Thanks for the help, JG
