Game Recap Stories Capability

Post by teamchampion02 » Wed Mar 07, 2012 8:22 am

Have you guys considered giving the app the ability to take the statistics generated in a game, and create a post-game recap in a story form? By this, I mean a true "in the top of the 4th, the Tomahawks took a 2 run lead thanks to the homerun by Smith off a 0-2 pitch. In the 6th, Jones struck out the side......etc etc etc"?

This would be an awesome addition to the app that would be great for us to post onto our team's website and local, small town media.

We do not have the ability to do this. There are companies that can provide this service to iScore users, but it would require licensing the technology. Is it something you as a customer would be willing to pay for? What would it be worth on say a monthly or per game basis to have this data generated?

What about an area to provide your own summary? Something more than the notes section.

We can definitely add an area to provide your own summary. We will add that to our enhancement list.

I think something like this would be a good subscription-based feature - depending upon the amount of content the app generates. If the app had the capability to provide a full, news-style article, which could also be published to the iScore team website (I'm envisioning an all-in-one push when you export the stats) - I would estimate that capability might be worth an additional $10-$15/year upgrade.

Being able to expand my notes per game is nice, I suppose - but I coach softball. I did 5 games on Sunday alone...... and the last thing I want to do is sit down and write up expansive notes after coaching all day long.

Is this feature something you guys are considering adding to the app? I think this would be something that other teams would find attractive as well.
