Fix courtesy runner after game is over

Post by pgsoftball » Wed Jun 01, 2011 9:50 am

I mistakenly used the wrong courtesy runner in the middle of a game. In going back through the pitch by pitch, however, I cannot find a way to change the runner to the correct player.

Suggestions?

the logical way to do this would be through pitch by pitch .. however i do not believe the current version allows editing this. It creates the event activity, but does not put an edit button next to it. A future version i think will. but for now either have to undo and re score, or live with it, and just put a not in the game to remind you to correct at a later date when editing allows for it.

FTM - please correct me if i am wrong.

That is correct... you can put a note on the play, and edit the stats if the runner happened to score or steal bases, or any other stat-worthy event.

Thanks for the quick reply.

One other thought. If I delete the courtesy runner from the roster at the beginning of the game, would that also make it go away? Or will it crash the database?

It won't crash the database, and the courtesy runner would still be there - it would just say "Unknown" for the player. We recommend not doing this. :)
