Can't import data

Had to restore Ipad and now data will not import.

We responded to your email, but to others reading, when you get a new device, data has to be transferred to the new device. There is no way for our server to know that two devices are related. If you can email us an old and new customer ID, we can transfer your data for you.

Don't know if this helps, but when I got a new iPod Touch, I just restored from my backup when I synced to iTunes for the first time, and my data came over fine. I had a new device ID, but it was pretty painless, and the datasharing (both Bluetooth and web) work great to keep the data in sync (we use both to score).

On a side note, having two devices makes rescoring a game much better. Just datashare the game, then on one device, undo to the appropriate point, make the change, and then use the other device as a reference to rescore (this is particularly if you track pitch location, since there is no other easy way to rescore that)

In this case, we transferred the database for him from his old device (no longer had it).

He is using iScore Basketball, but that's a great tip on a way to rescore a baseball game for people that have two devices when needed.

oops, that's what I get for reading the forum from the View active topics page and not paying attention to the actual category...

hopefully the tip works across the basketball app too...
