Ejected player

Post by leighball » Thu May 23, 2013 9:59 am

If a player is ejected from the game, (let's say he was a left fielder, batting at 6 ) should I be deleting him from lineup altogether, or is there another way to handle it?

You should not delete. You would make a substitution at that point for the LF and if batting all players, use misc-> skip batter when this player comes to the plate.

The lineup is the starting lineup. Any changes after the game starts are not made to the starting lineup. Substitutions are not made to the starting lineup. Players leaving the game due to injury or for any reason are not removed from the starting lineup. This will seriously mess up your game. Search for help here on substitutions or check the app documentation for more information.

Thank you
I should've perhaps mentioned that the team who ejected the player did not have a substitution player...they had 9 players to start.
Does this make any difference to your previous answers?

Misc -> Skip Batter would still be the way to go. If there was a substitute, you would just sub the new player in and not use Skip Batter.

Also, depending on your local rules and there are no substitutions that player would remain in the lineup and you would have to assign an out to this player whenever his at bat would be. I would mark that in the notes and mark the player out for offensive indifference if you're not given a more suitable choice in the outs tab.

Any time you skip a batter, iscore will ask you whether it counts as an out.
