Unable to get back on Settings page on my.iscorecentral.com (answered)

Post by lmorehead » Wed Apr 19, 2017 1:47 pm

I tried to set up a password under settings. I don't think iscorecentral recognized some of the characters I wanted to use in my password. Now when I try to go to Settings, I get the following message:

**** ACTUAL MESSAGE REMOVED BY FTMSUPPORT ****

I have tried logging out, restarting my computer, and clearing my cache to no avail. Can anyone help me fix this? I'd like to get it resolved so that I can set up iscore to where the iscorecasts are password protected and can only be seen by those who have been given the password.
Thanks!!

We modified your password by just taking out the apostrophe. We are also editing the post to take out information that is best kept private.

Glad support fixed you up . (Sounds like the apostophy, gummed up the page)

,..........
I created a seperate faq on password protecting iscorecasts .. see here viewtopic.php?f=3&t=11780

........
Some clarifying information on

my.iscorecentral.com > settings > data share > discover and password ...

The 'discover' setting in 'data share' enables other scorekeepers to discover and download rosters on your device using "team manager > discover team" on their device. If you want privacy, keep this blank.

The password in 'data share' is a "guest" password' you can give folks along with your customer id ( instead of your full admin password) for them to use with their device to "options > data share" to download/copy teams and games you score from your device to theirs.

This Password has nothing to do with the iscorecast.com play-by-play. Most users would keep this password blank, unless shareing games with other scorekeepers.

My.iscorecast.com > settings > data share > discover and password ...
To avoid confusion, the correct url is my.iscorecentral.com
