Auto scoring, can you make it happen? (awaiting user reply)

Post by efolchi2234 » Sun Apr 09, 2017 8:14 am

Hi,

I gotta say, the iScore app is great! I find it very useful when I'm scoring games, and sending out tweets to all of my followers. There is though a suggestion I want to make for the app. Is there anyway for you can make an update or an upgrade where there's an option to auto score a game without a person touching the app and sending out tweets automatically? For example, if a person is at work, a party, etc..? Or in general, if a person can't for any reason be at the device to input the score manually. I truly enjoy the app, but you make this happen?

Thank you,
Ernie Folchi

Not quite sure what you mean. How would it score the game with nobody inputting anything to the device? Maybe we are not understanding the question correctly.

I am guessing sarcasm and an April Fools post just a week late.

What I mean by "auto score," is inputting the score automatically. Like now, when you iScore game, the person has to input the score manually, (touching) play by play, outs, fouls, etc... What I'm trying to say is, is there a way of creating an option where the game can auto score for you? Does that help, sorry I'm not sounding clear.

Thank you

P.S. This is not an April Fools joke.

When scoring a game the scorer is not inputting the score. iscore automatically calculates the score based on the plays entered. If you miss a game, you can enter the game and just enter the score so that you have a record of total games played, won, loss etc. To do that you enter then game. Start game and then manually end it. Misc>End game. Then adjust the score to reflect what the final score was using Misc>Adjust Game.

My apology, if original post was not sarcasm. It sure sounded like you wanted to be able to score a game without physically entering any information, nor physically touching the device, nor even being physically in the same place. all of which are non starters.

I hope team mom interpreted your needs, better than i did, b/c if that is not it, I am lost.. the program requires some entry and then it calculates many things automatically, including running score, 500+ stats, scorecard and play by play broadcast

FYI -
  • * you can turn off automatic tweets in options
    * you can set game setting to use voice commands for some handsfree data entry (balls, strikes, etc)
P.S> I moved this post from under the "Central Viewer" topic (blue app icon) to "Baseball" topic (green app icon), as you described scorekeeper (green app) play entering ,
