For Pitch count total - is there a way to include all Fouls

on my android device when scoring a game I see the total pitch count equals Balls total plus Strikes total - Is there any way to modify this to include all pitches (excessive foul balls after batter has 2 strikes)? This would be a better representation of pitches throw and could make a significant difference in the total pitch count when trying to limit pitcher arm strain.

Foul balls are strikes. They are in the total.

I understand foul balls are considered strikes -- that's not my point. Rather the issue is total pitch count does not included any foul balls after a batter is at a 2 strike count in any given at-bat. This could amount to a considerable number of extra pitches thrown by a pitcher in the course of a game. I'm recommending that the total pitch count be amended to cover this issue.

No, foul balls are in the total. They are in the strike count and part of the total.

If a pitcher throws 8 pitches to a batter that includes 3 balls, a swing strike, a looking strike and 3 foul balls (in any order), the stat line would be: S-5 B-3 T-8.

In re-reading your posts, I am wondering if you aren't using the FOUL button for foul balls. If a batter fouls a ball, you should be entering as a FOUL not a STRIKE.

Good point. Fouls balls entered with the foul ball button definitely are included in the pitch count as strikes.
