New Product / Feature - Custom Scoreboards

Post by FTMSupport » Wed May 29, 2013 8:13 am

We have added a new product / feature to iScore - the ability to create Custom Scoreboards. A custom scoreboard is a customer filtered iScorecast listing that you can use to see the iScorecasts for groups of devices together, just a certain set of teams, only games in a certain time period, etc. It allows you to flexibly create a scorecast listing for just the games you want.

* Useful for leagues that have multiple scorekeepers so all games can be seen from one link

* Useful for organizations that have multiple teams (e.g. Travel Team organizations) that want a single place to go to see games for all their teams

* Useful for scorekeepers that score for multiple teams that want a listing of games for each team separately to send out

* Useful for people with their own custom websites that want an iScorecast listing of their games embedded in that site.

* Useful to anyone that wants more flexibility than the game listing at http://iscorecast.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; provides

In order to use the new Scoreboard functionality, you must have your iScore device(s) registered to an email address.

You then log in to the Admin Websites and choose Scoreboards in the upper right corner, or you can use the following link with the email / password you have registered with:

http://iscoresports.com/scoreboard/

You can create new custom scoreboards from there, and use the "Get Code" button to get the link to the scoreboard. Get Code includes a link directly to the scoreboard as well as HTML you can use to embed the scoreboard in your own site as an embedded DIV or as an IFRAME.

Very cool. I just dropped this into my team website using the iframe. looks good. For some reason the editor went to some default settings for the width and height of the frame. I edited them to something larger than the original iframe code and everything works great. This is a nice way to list a teams games on the homepage of team websites.

I don't remember what my password was when I registered. Is there any way to find out what it is?

If you log in to the Admin Website (http://my.iscorecentral.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), there will be a link in the upper right corner to Scoreboards to get to the custom scoreboards for your account. As long as you have registered your device, the Scoreboards link will work (and you won't have to remember your registration password).

Tremendous feature - Thanks!

I noticed that my embedded scoreboard has a 0-0 game in it, and here's why:

I accidentally added a game this weekend with the wrong opponent. After scoring the correct game, I went back and deleted the erroneous game. Now (on the Admin website...Games...Scorecasts) I have 2 identical looking Scorecasts in my list, and I don't know which one to delete.

Is is possible to have the score listed with each Scorecast? That way I could delete the blank identical Scorecast.

You can delete games from the iScorecast server by following the instructions in the following link:

http://iscoresports.com/baseball/kb/faq ... ecasts.php

If you accidentally remove the wrong one, you can go back into iScore, select the game in Game Manager that was accidentally deleted, then select "iScorecast Synchronize" to update the server.

I am really going to enjoy this new feature! Thanks for adding.
Will it work with football too?
