Early stages of "iScoreCentral"

Post by FTMSupport » Tue Sep 08, 2009 8:13 pm

We are getting closer to launching our web portal for allowing you to manage your data online. As a first step, we have a "mini site" created where you can remove any unwanted scorecasts, and view your rosters online.

We will be adding editing / creation / importing of rosters to this site soon.

To check it out, visit:

http://my.iscorecentral.com

and follow the instructions there for establishing your account.

The iScorecast data will appear any time you create an iScorecast from your device. The Team / Roster data requires you to export your database any time you want to see the latest data.

When we start allowing editing / creation of rosters, the following will be the steps you will have to take:

1. Export your database to our servers
2. Log in to the http://my.iscorecentral.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false site, and make your changes
3. Import your database back to your device

We will be adding a lot of functionality to this site in the coming weeks - some will be free, and at some point we will have a paid version as well with some advanced functionality (we posted in another thread about where we intend to go with that ... allowing customizable team portals, etc.)

Doesn't work on my Mac in Safar 4. The javascript won't run - this is the rerror from the console:

TypeError: Result of expression 'document.getElementById("pwd")' [null] is not an object.

Cool I had a iscorecast game i needed to delete. And did!!!

FYI - I Got in on PC with current versions of Firefox, IE and Safari - all worked

(I did have a small bit of trouble with the intial account creation, and the new password.. it did not seem to like my first attempt at a 'new password' .. i changed the length and made all alpha and it worked, was wondering if any passowrd, restrictions / requirements on number of characters, mix of alpha and numeric, etc - if so please note on the portal page)

There was something on our server that may have prevented using non-alpha numeric characters. That has now been fixed. Any characters should be acceptable in your password now.

Tease, tease, tease! Now I am going to go back into the mode of checking the forum frequently for "iScoreCentral" updates! Darn it! I am still recovering from the 2.0 wait!

Actually, I can't wait to utilize the proposed features. Maybe the website will be ready for high school season????????

Keep up the great work!

I got a bunch of players with "-1" as the position. Should I be concerned?

No... data is fine... in fact, we just fixed the website to not show the -1s now. Only time you should be concerned is if the Batting column ever says "Invalid". That was an old issue from a very early version of iScore... we wouldn't expect anyone to see it. But if you do, just go into Team Manager in iScore, go to the roster, and click on the Batting = YES or NO for that player.
