iScore Baseball v3.50 for iOS submited

Post by FTMSupport » Fri Mar 23, 2012 5:39 am

We have submitted version 3.50 of iScore Baseball for iOS devices to Apple for approval. This release adds the following:

  • Email Pitch by Pitch - You can now email the full pitch by pitch listing from the pitch by pitch screen.
  • Email Box Score - You can now email a traditional Box Score right from within iScore. It is a new option when emailing from the Game Info screen
  • Bluetooth Across iOS devices - As long as both iPhone and iPad are running at least v3.50 of iScore, you can now share data using Bluetooth across both of these devices
  • Bug Fixes - Fixed several bugs that have been reported in the forum
As always, we do not know when Apple will approve these updates, but watch the App Store for an update.

"Bluetooth Across iOS devices - As long as both iPhone and iPad are running at least v3.50 of iScore, you can now share data using Bluetooth across both of these devices"

Can you explain exactly what this means? If I'm running iScore on my (wifi) iPad - can I 'push' the game data to my iPhone via bluetooth? Then from my iPhone - can I push an update to the Scorecast website or Tweet it?

No, can not be used in that manner.

Here is a link that describes data sharing:

You can use Bluetooth to transfer games between iPhone and iPad. Prior to this update, you could only use bluetooth for iPhone -> iPhone or iPad -> iPad transfers, but not across platforms.

So then, my Use Case is correct - If I'm running iScore on my (wifi) iPad - I have the ability to 'push' the game data to my iPhone via bluetooth. Then from my iPhone - I can push an update to the Scorecast website or Tweet it.

That.....my friends.....is covered in awsomesauce!

You are correct, it is probably possible. I think you will find this is not practical though.

What you cant do, is a seamless, "live" transmission from iPad to iPhone to iScorecast, which is what I thought you were asking.
