New Baseball / Softball iScorecast using HTML 5

Post by FTMSupport » Tue Jan 31, 2012 1:17 pm

We have a new iScorecast for Baseball / Softball that we are making available this spring. You can preview it here:

http://data.iscorecentral.com/iscorecas ... ecast.html

Just enter the Customer ID from your device to see any of your iScorecasts with the new interface. We will be making it the default viewer soon. In the meantime, feel free to send this URL out / test it out. Here are some of the highlights of the new iScorecast:

✔ Supports Baseball + Softball --- when you score a game in Softball mode, you will see a softball field with female batters

✔ Shows in game statistics as the game progresses

✔ Shows lifetime-to-date statistics for players

✔ Shows headshots for the players assuming you have created them for your team(s)

✔ Click any player to see their "player card" with statistics

✔ Hide / show portions of the UI you want to see

✔ View pitch locations, type, and speed (click the ball to see type + speed)

✔ Fully HTML 5 compliant to allow viewing on computers as well as mobile devices / tablets (iPad, Android Tablets, etc)
Check out the new iScore Baseball documentation page!
Includes videos and user manual.

Wow. Every time I check for updates on my iPad, I hope to see iScore. So, I was already excited. Then to see the new iscorecast interface. Outstanding! It was 55 in Chicago today, let's play some ball...I'm ready.

Great job guys!

I do have to say, as much as I like it, I'm not sure how practical this is on the iPhone. Some of the info is pretty small.

Anyone else feel this way?

No. Not really. Just zoom in on what you want to see.

Tried it again this morning on the iphone and it didnt bother me as much...its not bad actually. Viewing in full screen mode helps. The key information is easily visible (score, count, outs, etc). Its the player stats and pitch-by-pitch that are pretty small. I think some people will have a hard time with this.

Will the old (html) version be available if someone preferred to use it on their phone?

Again, want to reiterate how awesome I think this is and not trying to be critical of it.
