iScore performance on different versions of iPad (responded)

I have a 3rd generation iPad that I have been using to score baseball games for the last several years. In the last 6 months or so, I have noticed its really slow responding to "screen taps" when scoring. I have backed up and optimized my data on the server and "restored" my ipad to only have the bare essential apps plus iScore. While I wait for my next game to see how it performs, I thought I'd ask if there is a recommended minimum version/configuration of iPad for the latest version of iScore. I realize code grows over time and Apple has new "hooks" that require more processing power for some of the nice features. From iScore Central, My data, I see that my db size is 47.6 MB, 268 teams, 288 games, over 4k players and 95k events (this is after cleaning up).

thoughts/recommendations?

I unfortuneatly do not have an answer, but i will join in your 'pain'. I use iScore on an iPad generation 1. Yes gen 1. but it had 3G and unlimited data from AT&T so it stays around. luckily , iOS updates have stopped (for years) which is a good thing. Apps stop working over time. but i can still i score . but frankly, i use my phone more often than not now. / Again no real help. but my 2cents

OhioTex - I hear you about the gen1 iPad. I just recently updated to a new(er) iPad and had the AT&T store transfer the SIM card from the gen1 to the new(er) iPad. The data plan follows the SIM card, so I am still able to purchase data (more than enough for iScore needs) on a month by month basis for less than what it costs to include it on my phone data plan. So I pay for data March through September (taking care of Spring HS, Summer Legion, and Fall HS baseball seasons) but let the plan lapse for October through February.
