,,,..
The customer ID.. Is the database's 'unique serial number'
Each Iscore software install ( ie different sport product on each physical device ) generates the unified number for managing its database and identifying it on iScore servers

....,
@rptb

Are you saying same physical device has 'changed' ID?

If so there is a causr, I assume you re installed iScore /iOS software at some point. Is that true

If you 'rebuilt' a device (re installed the software from scratch) and get a 'new' ID, Iscore would see this a second device ( even if physically the same)...
I've used the same device for the past 3 seasons, installing updates as they've become available.....The Customer ID has changed. I can be reached at rptb@aol.com Thanks!!

historical Data Restore appears to still be in progress for some devices ….(some of mine are back and some are not, it seems to be a gradual process restoring old scorecards etc. )

but scoring games and iscorecasting looks to be a Ok. .

looks like FTMSupport is back on the forum responding to normal operating issues.

so if you are encountering issues, please continue to post so you can get resolution ..

You may also want to test "at home" before you go to the Field/Arena

What happens if we do an Export now and then the database restore gets to our account - won't it overlay our export?

No, the restore will not touch newer files. You are fine doing an export now, and we actually encourage it.

For others reference:(pardon typos)

One users recovery timeline experience ..

Although I usually score on my iPhone/iPad , Over the years I have registered about 10 different device IDs ( new phones, restored devices , family phones in an emergency , and multiple sports) as such I have been able to experience the recovery process over days .. Thought I would share in case someone has part of their data restored but not all. Don't worry it is coming.

Timeline
Last Saturday w the crash I was able to score games but iscorecast was not working or email.

Late Saturday/early Sunday services were restored.

Then Sunday, when support said ok to export, my primary iPhone device was able to export
But my iPad was not able. I could log into my admin site using my phone device ID but not my IPad or email address ( got error message in red )

Monday my secondary device, the IPad, was able to export. and then i was able log into admin data base too w iPad ID ( could not day before)

At that time, on Admin Web site, account had linked all my devices to my email address but still could not log in using email and password till today. Also on Monday my admin showed all my team web site subscriptions but some had ??? Under team ( until I did export on that device).. but under manage data only 2 of my devices were visible . Ie restore in progress.

On wed I exported from a third device and it worked and b/c I exported I now could access the admin web site using that ID. And on admin web site team sites associated went from ??? To correct names. And database showed up under manage data. I e restore in progress.

Today a few more device IDs 'appeared' under manage data and for other sports . I did nothing but be patient on these devices. The restore just got to them . And now I can log onto those devices admin site (where yesterday it said invalid for those IDs)

The moral, if you can not access your ADMIN WEB site (my.iscorecentral.com) and know you are using right password.. You can wait or Try an option export . Then try admin log in again . If export fails or you can't because you do not have physical access to your device, Be patient and try tomorrow. You can also email support but I just waited to see how it did on its own. and as support said they are encouraging folks to export..

Next I suspect will be a few days before all the support files to team web sites are restored ( e.g scorecards)..

Hope this helps some out there

I took Support's advice and all my devices are back to normal. Doing an Export worked great. Thanks!

OhioTex wrote:@ FTM Support - can you also provide guidance for those who may had an old device they no longer have access to and as such can not do an Option Export… Once host finished, all restored from back ups - will those "older databases" appear in "manage data" or will you need to be sent individual emails to support with customer ID to Pull them. (thinking of @bjl_badger specifically, who may have exported on just the wrong day, Saturday, ) - thanks

OhioTex....Thanks for your thought....Still waiting patiently for the restore to hit our data.
