Teams, Players and Leagues

I'm using the league feature to group games by season and actual league. For the travel league, then, I have the following leagues set up:
  • 2010TL - All Games
  • 2010TL - Fall
  • 2010TL - Regular Season
After the tournament this weekend I realized it would be helpful to also use leagues to group games by tournament so I created a new league (2010TLT - Battle at Coal Mountain) and added the games played there to it. Later, I was looking at a player's information and noticed that he wasn't in the new league. Reviewing all of the players I confirmed that none of them were in the new league. All of the stats seem to be fine but I haven't tried all combinations of on/off in the League Manager versus the Player Card so I can't confirm that things would show up correctly. I *can* confirm, however, that if "2010TLT - Battle at Coal Mountain" is the only league enabled in the League Manager any players not in that league (though they played in a game in that league) are not displayed in the Player Manager.

So, the question is, is it intentional or is it an oversight that players are not automatically added to a league when a game in which they've played is added to that league? If it is intentional, can we have an option to add them when the team is added?

Thanks!

It is intentional, but as you have seen, the stats also show correctly.

Having a Player in/not in a league really only effects whether that player is shown in the Player List.

The stats to be included when running cumulative reports are based on the leagues the Games are in, not the leagues the individual players are in.

OK, that's the key then. Knowing that, I'll only worry about having my players in the "base" leagues and focus on getting the games in the correct base leagues and per-tournament leagues.

Thanks for the quick response!
