Problem subscribing to TruMedia Analytics

Post by gpieschala » Fri Mar 09, 2012 11:42 am

When I attempt to subscribe to the TruMedia analytic service, I get a message titled "You can't purchase this" which says "You must first purchase the app that this item is for before you can purchase the item." This is, of course, ironic because I am trying to do the purchase directly through the app which I purchased and is installed on my iPad!!

How can I complete the purchase?

It sounds like you are running the iPhone version of iScore on your iPad, and not the iPad version. The TruMedia Analytics is only compatible with the iPad specific version of iScore.

I triple checked and I am running the iPad app. What else might it be?

We just tried on a device here, and things worked just fine. That is the only thing we have seen causing the issue is running the iPhone version on an iPad. When you are on the main scoring screen, do you see the lineups, pitch by pitch, and pitch location views all on the same page? This is the main difference between the iPad version and iPhone version. If you DO see these things, then our best guess would be to do an Options -> Export from within iScore to store your data on our server, then remove and reinstall iScore, then do an Options -> Import, and you can then try and do the TruMedia purchase again.

I am certain that I have the iPad version, so I'll do the reinstall as directed.
