Player notes disappear after export/import

Recurring problem. I enter a bunch of notes on a particular player (ie., #2 on team in OBP, Leads district in HRs) so that I can have them ready for livestream broadcast when the player comes up to bat.
They keep disappearing. I enter a bunch of notes on iMac, then I import on my iPad. Nothing...or just the first line.
How would I quickly view them on the scoring screen if they are available?
