I'm new to scoring, and I wonder if there is a way to fix the following mistake I've made (unfortunately repeatedly).
With runners on a base, who subsequently stole the next base, I tapped on the player, but forgot to tap on the subsequent next base (I actually have a couple of runners "steeling first base). After noticing my mistake, I fixed it by subsequently having the runner steal the correct base in the next play.
My problem is that the stolen base stats are now inflated for some players. Is there a way to remove these "stolen bases" of bases the player was already on? I can't figure out how to remove these plays on the play-by-play screen.
Any help would be appreciated...thanks!
Fixing steals
Re: Fixing steals
I you can do that from pitch by pitch editor.
Go to game page.
Touch pitch by pitch
touch inning error occurred
edit (it won't let you change it to steal second but you can change it to something like pick off attempt)
touch back

Re: Fixing steals
Ok, I tried to do what you suggested, and it looks as if it might work (I also just tried changing "steal first" to held up). It SEEMS to fix the problem but, for some reason, it's not saving the change when I exit. I don't get what I'm doing wrong in exiting (I don't see a save change button, I'm just hitting the "Back" key.
Re: Fixing steals
Ok, I've done a bit more digging...
First off, I'm using the iPad version to keep score. I also have the iPhone version of the program. For my amusement, I went into the iPhone program, and created an inning where one batter had a single and then "stole first". I then exited out of the game (and program), and went back to pitch-by-pitch. I was able to clear the "stole first" flag by simply pressing "held up" insteaad, and hitting the SAVE buttton. So my next question is, "Where is the SAVE button on the iPad version?"
