Removing a skipped batter

I skipped a batter who was expected to show up late to the game. Turns out, the batter never showed up. In pitch-by-pitch after the game, I removed the batter from the starting lineup ... yet "skipped" still shows up on the scorecard. So I put him back in the lineup. To complicate matters, I didn't skip the batter in question in his third and final at bat. Thus, the player below him who did bat didn't get credit. I could not find a way to edit either players skipped appearance or the real at bat. There is no option to skip a batter after the fact. Help!

You are correct there is no option to skip a batter, after the fact. that is not allowed in pitch by pitch editing. This scenerio happens periodically
Complete Fix ...
Unfortuneately, if you want to correct everything, "just right" you are going to have to redo this specific game.. (or undo back to original skip and re enter). If you want tips on how to minimize that 'pain' search the forum, (hint.. export your data first (as a safeguard), , print out a copy of your play by play and score card for handy reference, you can not print out pitch by pitch yet, but can see it by iscorecast if you synch before you edit)
Possible workaround for stats
if interested, in a workaround to fix stats, at the expense of a clean scorecard .. here is an idea
first step (sounds like you already did ) is to put the deleated, now re added player, back in the same line up spot as you started (using pitch by pitch), so the score card and stats should be right up until the time the batter (call him batter 7) is not skipped. Now go to pitch by pitch editor, at that point, batter7, shows to be batting and not skipped, make an offensive substitution, to sub batter 8 for batter 7, do this throughout the line up/ rest of the game, the score card will look funny, but stats, should be righted. spot check the stats for players to make sure it matches your expectation.
For the future...
next time this happens, (and it will happen again in little league)... I have a tip on how to stay sane. don't use skip batter to fix line up issues. It will be tempting, but don't only use skip batter if that is what happens on the field. The key is to understand the iScore philosophy, 1) score what you see, 2) batting position in line up matters, not the "player name". So in future only use skip batter if that is what actually happens in the game. If you are tempted to use skip batter to correct a starting line up mess, don't. Instead realize, this is a line up issue, not a play, and you will fix it at the half inning break. go ahead and score what you see, balls, strikes, out etc, with wrong batter name appearing on your screen.. then at half inning break, you can correct...
at half inning break, the correction for a botched line up due to a player no show, is very simple. at half inning break, go to misc > show starting line up > drag the "no show" player to the bottom and mark NOT batting (be sure to mark not batting, that is most key). save/exit. iScore will automatically shift all the action you scored up to the right names, becuase former batter 8 is now batter 7, and former batter 9 is now batter 8 etc. Unfortuneately, that is how easy it is to fix, real time, had you known.
sorry for length, hope it helps you or others.

Thank you! I went back and rescored the last half-inning of the game after printing the scorecard. And you're right ... this will happen again. I appreciate the quick fix suggestion for similar situations in the future.
