Hesitation

Post by FDT92 » Fri May 14, 2010 7:59 am

I'm guessing that the "Hesitation" is supposed to be used for softball's "Look Back Rule".

When assigning an out in this way, the scorebook shows "LBP" for left base path. We typically score this "LBR".

Hesitation and Look Back Rule appear to be used interchangeably depending on your league rules. All of our most recent "runner out" additions (Hesitation, Passed Runner, Offensive Interference, Other) are currently showing as LBP - left base path on the scorecard. The pitch by pitch and play by play will tell specifically what the out was called for. We will make them more specific on the scorecard as well for the next release.
