Runner's Interference: LBPR on Scorecard ?

Is LBPR the correct designation on the scorecard after a runner's interference? He was called out for interfering with the shortstop who tried to field the ball. Play by play describes it as 'runner's interference'.

While I'm here...please indulge, Bases were loaded on the play, it was a "base hit type play", that got passed the shortstop to the outfield. Runner scored. Then they ruled at the field: runner from 2nd out due to interference. They recalled the runner from third who had scored and sent him back to 3rd. They sent the original runner from 1st to 2nd and let the batter remain at first.

What are your thought on how this was ruled?

2) What are your thoughts on how I entered it which was single, R2 out due runner's interference, R3 held up, R1 advanced by batter and batter advanced by batter single?

Thanks

Well, it is always difficult to interpret a judgement call like offensive interference without seeing the play. If the ball was hit like you say in that it would have been judged a base hit even without the runner interference, then it seems like the umpires made the correct choices in placing the runners and you scored it correctly in awarding the base hit.

LBP# on scorecard is 'left base path'
RI# on scorecard is 'runner interference'

Where # is the batting order number of batter on play

I suspect you tapped LBP button not RI buttom by mistake and can fix in editor. I hope the R is a typo on your part

Thanks. I don't think I clicked left base path because the play by play description was "runner's interference". The scorecard says 'LBP R6' in red and 'AB 5' in green. The player who interfered was the #4 hitter. Maybe the R6 refers to interfering with the Short stop?

AB5 = Advance By batter 5.

You can go into game edit and change.
Yiu can also make a quick test game and demonstrate to your self it works

I made a test game. I did 2 batters. 1st batter singled. 2nd batter singled. Indicated that the lead runner was out due to offensive interference. Ended the game and brought up the scorecard. ..For the lead runner it says in red : 'LBPR2'.

the LBP on RI seems like a possible bug, what version of iScore are you using?

when i do out by "offensive interference" i actually do not get any annotation on scorecard just the Red out #

In your test game, I would be curious what it does for other outs .. See if it has just mixed up RI# or others.

this are the annotations i see on my score card (using version v 5.08)
Runner Interference = RI#
Caught Stealing = CS#
Left Base Early = LBE#
Left Base Path = LBP#
Hit by Ball = HBB#
Force Out = FO#
Tag Out = TO ##
Picked Off = PO ##
(where # is the batter, batting position and
## is the fielders involved in play for TO and PO)

by the way these do not annotate on my scorecard
Missed Base =
Passed Runner =
Offensive Interference =
Hesitation =
Other =

It's iScore version 4.48.421 Android Tablet. I scored two instances of "Offensive Interference" in today's game and it came out as "Off Int" on the scorecard so that was right.. I used that instead of runner's interference because it was the batter in both instances.. 1st time : batter interfered with catcher throwing to 3rd on a stolen base attempt and next time the batter/runner ran into the 1st baseman attempting to catch a pop up. I'm still not exactly sure what the distinction is between runner's interference and offensive interference but that's the term the ump used twice today. (offensive interference)..
