Incorrect MLB stats

Post by Stan » Sat Apr 21, 2018 7:27 am

The MLB player stats appear to be incorrect. I was scoring the Blue Jays/Yankees game last night and when I started looking at the stats for individual players, some were right, some wrong, and some (e.g Smoak, Stanton) had all zeroes on the Total line. I had gone into Options prior to the start of the game and updated the MLB information.

After the game I went into the Player screen and verified that it wasn't just on the Scoring screen where the numbers were wrong. I may be doing something wrong, but I not sure what it could be.

Where are you looking at stats?
Is your descrepency in a specific game or in total?

When you score a game, you generate stats for involved players and teams that can be found under Team Manager , Player Manager and Game manager as appropriate with desired leagues enabled

Player Manager > Plauer > Player Stats > statistics tab are from ganes you scored
(The total line Seems to be from data feed )

Player Manager > Plauer > Player Stats > MORE tab takes to si.com web site

It is in multiple games. So far today about 2/3 of the players have wrong avg's on the Total line (generally about 3-5 points out).
No all zeros today.

I'm comparing what iScore displays to the stats displayed by Sportsnet for the game I'm watching.

I look at the stats by tapping the player name on the Scoring Screen.

Either the wrong MLB stats are being downloaded, or they are somehow being adjusted (maybe based on revious ganes?) by iScore.

I'm on a Nexus 7 running Android 6.0.1

support will have to respond on the timing and quality of their data provider. . to be clear the primary purpose of the scorekeeping app is to enable scoring games , there are multiple other ways to get up to date MLB player stats.

We'll see what support says.

The same thing happened today, a couple accurate, most not, and at least 3 (Smoak, Stanton, and Travis) had all zeroes on the Total line.

I sent the following to Support yesterday. This problem has been going on for years. One of the reasons I subscribe to the MKB Addon is to get accurate stats. It would be nice if this were fixed.

There seems to be a problem with the MLB Addon. The Total line on the Player Card does not always match the stats in the Team Manager. Below are the batting averages for 2 players on the Bluejays. I have attached screeen captures for them. The stats were Refreshed as of this afternoon and the Bluejays site stats were also from this afternoon.

Shouldn’t the Total line in the Player Card and the Team stats line be the same after a Refresh and shouldn’t they match the actual MLB stats? Also, on the Player Card for Guerrero the AB’s add up to 19 but the total line shows 21 the same as the site stat.

Name Bluejays Site iScore Team Stats iScore Player Card

Guerrero .316 .316 .286

Hernandez .208 .250 .208[

Any help sorting this out would be appreciated. If it would be of any help I have the detailed scoring and stats for each game.

Support didn't respond. They also didn't respond to a second email pointing out that there are no MLB pitching stats.
