2018 MLB Subscription (resolved)

2018 MLB Subscription (resolved)

I'm having an issue with the 2018 data subscription. I've gotten that for the last several years, and when I saw it pop up on my iPhone's app update, I signed up immediately.

However, I was wondering about something. Here's an image showing the area on my iPhone.

First, the purchased subscription on my iPhone is not showing up on my iPad - that screenshot shows 2018 as still needing to be purchased.

Now I know about checking one's account on the server, as I've done this for many years in the past, so I did that. Went there, and here's what I'm seeing (I've blanked the ID numbers since this is a public post).

The first one is the device (iPhone X) that purchased the subscription.

I'm at a loss to explain why I can't get the 2018 subscription to show up on the other device or my account on the website.

EDIT: As I was composing this, I went to my Apple account, and looked up the order. It's oddly still marked as pending on Apple's side, but on my iPhone it appears to be functioning. Any idea about all of this?

Two other bits of info:

1) The description and title of the 2018 subscription is different on both devices. That doesn't have anything to do with it, does it? Stab in the dark, I admit, but when you don't know what the answer is...

2) The Register/Login button that appears at the bottom of the addons area on my iPad doesn't do anything. You hit it and it just closes that window. Is that supposed to do anything now?

Your screen shots are very helpful in your posts (thanks).. ! I believe the developers have fixed this issue now.. read on

with the release of 5.1, it appears The developers are evolving the registration / sign in process to be more in line with si play. As they make this transition from the older iscore registration process - looks like we may have some growing pains. thanks for reporting them.

on your phone >options > add on > 2018 New data.. Looks like it recognizes you have purchased as the orange "Buy" button was been replaced with the new data "Refresh" button..

now lets go back and re check your admin web site (my.iscorecentral.com ), do you now have 2018 column?? .. It appears the site has been updated since your post with the 2018 registration radio button column .. I just tested and was there and able I was able to "add" a second device with 2018 Subscription by checkin its radio button

after selecting the radio button on admin site for your iPad, you may have to close and re open the app on the iPad to see the change under Options > Add ons >

The 2018 rosters should now appear in the Account section of my.iscoresports.com.

Two followup questions...

1) Should I care that the description for 2018 isn't "nice" like the other ones? It just says "2018 subscription" like that? It won't affect functionality, will it? One of the earlier screenshots showed a full/proper/longer description as in previous years. Just wanted to make sure there was nothing deeper to this than the visible description.

2) Older years' subscriptions.. As you can see from the screenshot, there's several. and I have to scroll to bottom to get to 2018/current. If I uncheck them on the website, will they stop showing up on the device, or will they then just show as unregistered? I'd like to stop the older years from showing up - is there a way?

Think this is an administrative annoyance you may just want to live with ... on Admin Web Site, you will find you can NOT uncheck a season .

(there is a workaround, to "clean up" - but is a dramatic step! you would have to backup / export your database to admin site, record current device ID, uninstall iscore app, re install iscore app (gets a new device ID by default), activate new device with admin site, register new device to common email, then Copy Data Base from former device id to new device ID , check MLB subscription for new device ID , then import back your device. Like i said a dramatic step. )

Understood. Not a huge problem, just a minor nit to scroll down to current. If they could be ordered in the app in reverse, then it wouldn't matter. :)
