I'm glad someone else is paying attention and taking into account different devices and versions. A moderator/gatekeeper who isn't thorough and assumes the user is in error makes for bad customer service.

I did after all include device, operating system, and iscore version in my original post.

@mjavton--.. Why the resentment? This is a previously unidentified bug in the software. my response was to help flesh out the issue and resolve the problem and troubleshoot its cause. No negativism intended.

Two suggestions:

1. When testing, take into account all relevant information so that it doesn't need to be repeated.
2. Don't assume the user is wrong.

You "fleshed it out" by ignoring relevant information I gave you from the beginning, making me do needless testing, and post more than one unnecessary response. I was fine responding the first time because it is reasonable to ask if I'm making the error. However, you only barely acknowledged at the end of the first response that you may be misunderstanding me...and not at all that there may be an actual issue with the app.

I would've been happy to interact with you if you had responded in a way that at least acknowledged that there may be an issue with the app. You didn't and ignored relevant information I gave you from the start in your own testing.

This is not the first time I've reported an issue, with enough information to reproduce it, and had to repeat myself at least twice to get the genuine issue fixed.

1.It is impractical to test every hardware/software combination on intial troubleshooting response.
History has shown: a) faster response and clarification with user is more effective and b) hardware variations are generally not the source of issues -especially for ios (android slightly different story).

Also, you may not appreciate before responding to your intial post, i did pay attention to the fact you said iOS and 5.1 and verified the feature still existed in the new version and tested on both iphone and Ipad. (The bug seems to be impacted by certain iphone/ios combinations). I did not have a iphone6 handy at the moment and no indication it was a hardware/ios combination issue has it works on other iphones and ipads.

2. I never said i did not believe you or that you were wrong. In fact, my starting point has to be the opposite - i have to rely on what users say literally as the truth until clarified otherwise. . I am not sure what you think you had to repeat.

When you review your initial post you will not see any reference to the fact that you knew it was a change from prior version. That was only clarified by your second post.

Upon learning that, i tried multiple games (new and old) on v5.1 to try and replicate the issue but could not, except in one case - and that then went away upon line up edit. So i provided that idea to troubleshoot

3. Historically, The number one reason 'no offense sub tab exists' is user has all batters set to yes. Had i noticed you were a veteran user or you had clarified in your intial post you are aware that the offensive tab disappears when all batters set to yes. I would have responded differently .

We are having a similar issue on the iPad except that the Offense and Defense tabs both show when attempting to make a substitution but the offensive tab does not change to the batting line up to allow a batting substitution to be made.

Thanks

We just tried on the iPad using v5.102 and are not seeing the same thing. Are you using v5.102?

Yes we are using the latest version.
If you click on the offense tab it doesn’t change from the defensive field to offensive line up

@exhidnet

I can't reproduce this issue on my iPAd Air (gen 1) either.. Wondering if a specific hardware/software combination...

* What generation of iPad are you using?
* What version of iOS? (Latest is 11.2.5)
* You alreasy said latest iScore version v5.1.02

historically Apple has not had hardware specific variation issues like on android. Sometimes iOS updates create issues, But as we saw in the original post on this thread.. some iPhone generations exhibited issues while others did not with v5.1

We are using numerous iPads at Australian National Championships, all using the latest version and all experiencing this issue.

To be more specific it is only when trying to edit a substitution that this happens, not when touching a player either batter or fielder which works as expected.
