What is the purpose of the "photos" tab in iScorecast (answered, future.feature)

What is the purpose of the "photos" tab in the iScorecast feed? I assume that it is to add photos for people watching your scorecast, but how exactly do I add game photos so that viewers can see them?

A little more info before I can point you in the right direction. What type of device are you using to score your games?

the Photo tab in iScorecast is a placeholder for future capabilities.

Currently, on your admin web site at my.iscorecentral.com, you can upload Player Photos (head shots) and Team Logos . the player photo will be shown on iScorecast, instead of the generic player silhouette for the Batter and the fielders (name/photo toggle for fielders). If you have a team logo but not a player photo, the team logo will be used in place of player photo (nice if you have opponents logo, but not individual player photos). on an iPad, (but not iPhone or Android) you can load Player photo and team Logo on your device.

I was going to wait for your device so I could give you specific instructions based on what you have, but here is the instructions for both iOS and Android.

If you are using iOS -
Upload the photo for the player ON THE DEVICE - then do an export. If you do it on the Admin Site, you will never see it pushed down to the tablet (by design apparently). So simply go into Team Manager, select your team, select Roster, then select each player. You will see a photo placeholder at the top left for the player. Select it, and you have the option to take a picture, or use an existing photo. After you do that for each player, exit back out to the main screen, select Options, and then Export. This should upload the photos to your Admin Site, and reflect properly on your scorecasts, and your Team Website (should you be using one).

If you are using Android -
Perform the function directly on your Admin Site. Android (as of the time of this post) does NOT have a photo option directly on the device. Log into your Admin Site, on the Teams tab, use the drop down to select your team, then select the Rosters "sub" tab. From here you should see your full roster of players, and next to each player on the left you should see the option to upload a photo. Once you do that, you should see the photo next to the player in the roster. They will now show up in all scorecasts, and on your Team Website (should you be using one).

NOTE: If you upload a photo to a player on the Admin Site, and then go back and change it, the browser cache will NOT update the photo for the player on the Admin Site - however - the photo DID update. You can validate by going to any scorecast, or your Team Website (should you have one). Alternatively, exit completely out of ALL browser sessions you have open, then reopen back to your Admin Site to see the photo changed. In some instances, you may need to use your browsers capability to clear the cache.

@ support, Can you confirm my statement that the Photos tab on web iscorecasts is currently not enabled (aka a placeholder for future use). If i am wrong, please clarify how users can use the Photo tab on iscorecast.com web scorecasts. // thanks

Is it being used for something other than public scorecasts?
