TEAM NAMES
- you keep saying you have a team named HAYS .. with ALL league on.. does HAYS have both 2016 and 2017 games?
If HAYS has 2016 games, then you do not want to delete it (ever).
If HAYS has 2016 games, I would recommend you re name it HAYS-2016.
I would recommend you have a HAYS-2016 and HAYS-2017 team.
you may even have a HAYS-2017(old) and HAYS-2017(new). the HAYS-2017(old) is what you will delete in the end as it will have no stats.
- Leagues are simply a grouping mechanism, do not over think this part. just assign players. teams and games to a 2017LEAGUE. players teams and games can be assigned to multiple leagues at once. once you get this issue solved, you can go read up on leagues. but it is not a critical part now.
- (as a general rule you do not want to delete players, teams etc. . Recall I mentioned . the computer creates a unique ID for each player and team you create- It maintains that unique id, regardless of what you type in - hence you can rename HAYS to HAYS-2016 and the computer keeps it straight, because of the underlying team ID. BUT when you delete a player/team you loose that ID (forever) . and the roster or line up that was dependent on that, gets orphaned. hence your issues)
