Voice Recognition not working (fixed)

Does the current release of iScore have Voice Recognition working? I have enabled it on both my iPad and iPhone and it does not seem to do anything.

I've never used it before, so I might just be doing something wrong. All I did to enable it is to tap on the "Gear" icon in the lower right corner on the iPad ("Wrench and hammer" icon on iPhone) and set "Voice Recognition" to "Yes". Is there something else needed to enable it?

Yes it works but background noise and other factors can cause issues. even when it works, i find manual entry is simpler and more reliable

Well, when I talk to it, it does the same thing as my toaster does when I talk to it, nothing...

Maybe there are some permissions I need to give it in order for it to use the microphone or something?

If I go to Settings->Privacy->Microphone it does not even list iScore.

With iOS10 Apple made a change with Microphone access. We will get this fixed.

That explains my iPad Mini 2, but not my iPhone 4s which is running iOS 9.3.5 (and cannot be upgraded beyond that version).

Unlike on the Mini 2, on the 4s, I see iScore under the Settings (Location and Cellular Data options), but still nothing under Settings->Privacy->Microphone.

Thanks.

the new update v5.007 added back the microphone .
I tested it on my iPhone (but not iPad yet) and it works.

as i said before, in the past I did not find this feature that useful and do not enable.

that said, here are some tips/learnings i have

the app provides a faint feedback beep when it is listening and hears noise it does not recognize.

when it does recognize a command, it plays back in a nice audible voice.

even in a quiet office environment with headset, it picks up background noise.

Voice recognized Ball, Strike (looking), Strike Swinging, foul ball. Undo, Redo . (if you find more key words, please post back)
voice did not recognize OUT or IN PLAY , NOTES, MISC or TOOLS Cancel or Any Second screen choices. (let me know if you have more)

FYI - also when voice recognition is enabled the play sounds is option is overridden (disabled) for manual entry feedback
