Well, just to be clear, I don't agree it is corrected and/or resolved. I *did* do the renaming before the merge, and I'm still seeing empty names/stats. I think I have a workaround for this for now. I'm going to be scoring a new game/team/tournament starting tomorrow so we'll see if it happens again.
Thanks again for all your help.

Re: Roster Name after Player Merge
I appreciate the clarification but am confused,
i interpreted your prior post as saying you got the correct 'post merge' player showing up correctly w right combined stats in
* player manager, player card
* team managwr: team roster and team stats,
* game manager: game starting line ups, stats and scorecard.
And once you removed the 'empty players" everything looked as desired , so i thought resolved for now (i agree by undesired workaround effort).
I did not see in your original post a mention that you renamed "player 1" in the game starting line up BEFORE doing the player merge.

Re: Roster Name after Player Merge
All good points. I neglected to note the rename in original post. I did mention in later post but probably not clear.
So, thanks again for your help. I'll see what happens today and hopefully just a fluke or user error!!

Re: Roster Name after Player Merge
So are you good to go for now, ?
(customer gets to say when "fixed")
that was the main intent of my post , just to make sure you ended up in a good place despite the time consuming workaround hassle
(i.e. game and player information now displaying as expected),
the second point is ,
your original hypothesis, of how it SHOULD have worked, was spot on.!!!
but for some reason it did not, so was trying to brainstorm and test ways to find a cause and effect, .. b/c once discover, developers have a history of fixing quickly.
I know you mentioned iOS10 as a hypothesis, and that is a good one, I just can not test yet, on iOS10 b/c my phone is short on GB space,
( whole other soap box, have to tell apple everyday to NOT install ).
the next hypothesis i had was "the uniqueness of quick players" and thought perhaps the rename before merge... maybe important.
my third point,
the whole "empty players" really confused me... i was not getting what you were describing, and instead of drilling down for more understanding there, if when you removed them , there was no lingering negatives. all ok.
THE THANKS IS TO YOU for contributing to the community your experience and taking the time to surface so if there is a bug we can find and fix for all.

Re: Roster Name after Player Merge
Thanks again for all your help. Sorry for delay in responding.
So I scored some more games last weekend with a new team and I'm seeing the same problem. So I can say it seems to be repeatable.
iOS 10.1.1
v4.7 25
So create a new team, use quick roster, then rename certain players during the game (lastname-new). At end of game I do an export. Then go into player manager to merge new player (lastname-new) into existing player (lastname). After merge, go back to roster for team and see player lastname-new listed. When select this player, first name and last name fields are empty and stats are empty too. If I go back to Player Manager, I do not see the player (lastname-new) listed.
Let me know what you think next step is. Should I send in an export of before / after?
Thanks.
Brad
