Synchronize with iScorecentral does not appear to be working

Post by brentwalker » Sat Mar 20, 2010 6:37 pm

I made some corrections and notes to the game I recently scored and within the game selected i-Scorecast Synchronize. When I now go to iScorecentral to see the Play-by-play, my assumption was that I would now get the updated game information including changes made in Play-by-play.

Am I doing something wrong here or am I using the synchronize feature incorrectly?

Not only does it appear to not be working, looking back at the Play-by-Play on the phone I am noticing some errors and am unable to correct them.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Jacob Bledsoe comes up to bat. He reaches base due to an error on SS and as catcher, I substituted Aaron Hernandez as the courtesy runner. Next up was Vincent Martinez who hit a line drive to Right Center. This is where it gets wierd in Play-by-Play. Aaron Hernandez was called out for "supposedly" missing third base on his way home. After entering in the out at third for "missing a base" the coach substituted Colby McDade in for Vincent Martinez at 2nd. Next Up was Christian DeLeon who grounded out 5-3 with McDade moving to third on the play. Next up was Brad Walker (substituted for Ryan Torres in the top of the 8th inning). Brad hit a line drive to pitcher to end the inning.

Looking at Play by play on iScoreCast it doesn't read this way. I'm not sure if that is due to iScorecast not synchronizing correctly or if something else is wrong. Also Play by Play on the phone reads weird given all the substitutes saying things like on the 1st pitch to Brad Walker in Play by Play edit is says the following:

Substitution VISITOR: HOME: #44 jacob Bledsoe in for #2 Aaron Hernandez. #33 Vincent Martinez in for #18 Colby McDade. #44 Jacob Bledsoe in for #2 Aaron Hernandez as catcher.

#14 Brad Walker hits a line drive to the pitcher #13 Fernando Pena for an out

NOTE: Hard Line Drive Back to the pitcher, pure self defense catch.

This was the last at bat for this offensive inning for Foster. While Brad was hitting Colby McDade was on third. Not sure where all the substitutes are coming from here.

Export your Data (i did not hear you mention exporting your data). Let me explain why...

Two different "Syncronizations" at work.

There is "iScoreCast" ( the web based graphic 'live game simulation' w/ play ball sound etc) and
There is the "Play by Play" on the web wich is text table description of the game
and
there is "pitch by pitch" on the iphone

In your original post, you synchronized the "iscorecast" but if you did not re export your data, you have not updated your "play- by- play" on the web. sounds like you are looking at your play by play on the web site and not seeing the expected changes, because have not re exported your data. (I know you would like both updated at same time, but not how it is built at the moment)

next i think you are talking about not being able to make a change on your iphone in pitch by pitch. (called pitch by pitch not play by play on the iphone). I suspect the issue trying to make a non allowed game outcome changer. or is it something else?
