Error on line score when a runner is out

Post by Jleith » Sun Jul 12, 2015 9:28 pm

I'm using a Android Tablet.

I came across a issue in tonight's game.

Here is the steps
1. There is 2 out
2. Bases loaded
3. The batter hits a ground ball to 3rd base.
4. The third baseman makes a out by a force play at 3rd base.
5. The inning is over when the runner from 2nd is forced out at 3rd.

ISSUE:
When the batter hit the ball it was a FC ( Fielder Choice )
He was awarded 1st base.

Now Iscore asked what to do with the runner on 3rd did he make it home ?
Well he did.
But the 3rd out was a force play at 3rd based on the runner on 2nd.
When I said the runner on 3rd went home it added a Scored run. --- Error

HELP
How can I get around saying that the runner on 3rd does get home but the run does not score due to the Force Play out at 3rd ?

My adjustment was to say the runner on 3rd "Held Up" and made the out at 2nd.---Not cool

So how to tell iScore to ignore the run and place the runner out number 3 at 3rd base?

Enter Fielder's choice, grounder, 5 unassisted, and then when asked next what happened to the runner on third, it should default to "safe at home", but then you can select "run not scored". Then asked what happened to the runner on second, change to "out at third" and select "force out". That's what I would do.

Oops forgot to say enter "in play" to start with.

Thank you Ixamnis

Enter Fielder's choice (I did that part)
grounder ( Don't believe it asks how the batter made it to 1st )
5 unassisted ( This would be the runner running from 2nd to 3rd (5ua))
and then when asked next what happened to the runner on third
it should default to "safe at home", (Yes I did that and the score advanced)

(Where do I get this action ?)
but then you can select "run not scored".

(I don't recall seeing wording related to "Out at Third")
Then asked what happened to the runner on second,
change to "out at third" and select "force out".

Ixamnis are you using a Android Tablet ?

Using an android phone. Wouldn't think it would be that different.

After entering in play and fielder's choice. It will ask for location and type of hit. It will not ask what happened to the batter. (it would get to that later if you didn't have the third out at third base) It asks which fielders handled the ball. (just the the third baseman, 5). Then it should ask what happened to the runner on third.
When it asks what happened to the runner on third, my screen at the top has a choice of safe at home or I can change it to out at home. Or I can change that to out or safe at third too (second and first are greyed out and not an option), plus there is a quick button that I didn't even try to look at in this case. I chose safe, home. Then below there should be a choice of "run not scored".

Then it will ask what happened to the runner on second, Out at third on the top of the screen and then below I can select force out.

All those could be in different locations I suppose on an android tablet.

Sorry I'm not the expert help here. Just thought I had the answer for you.

Using an android phone. Wouldn't think it would be that different.

I have the Android phone and it would be so small for my old eyes to see. I'm using the 8 inch tablet

After entering in play and fielder's choice. ( Yes this is correct)
It will ask for location and type of hit. ( A: The hit location ) ( B: The hit type = Fielders Choice)
It will not ask what happened to the batter. ( Other then the Fielders choice)

(it would get to that later if you didn't have the third out at third base)
It asks which fielders handled the ball. (just the the third baseman, 5). ( Yes )

Then it should ask what happened to the runner on third.
When it asks what happened to the runner on third,
my screen at the top has a choice of safe at home or I can change it to out at home. ( Yes I recall the "Safe at Home )

Or I can change that to out or safe at third too (second and first are greyed out and not an option),
plus there is a quick button that I didn't even try to look at in this case. I chose safe, home.
Then below there should be a choice of "run not scored". ( I will say I don't recall the "Run not Scored")

Then it will ask what happened to the runner on second, Out at third on the top of the screen and then below I can select force out.

All those could be in different locations I suppose on an android tablet.

Sorry I'm not the expert help here. Just thought I had the answer for you. ( I appreciate your help.)

I will have to study the options on the next time it happens.

Thank you for taking the time to help.

Just confirming, "run not scored" is the correct method here. Thats precisely what this function is for.

Thank you Mark

I will look for the function and see where it is.

Is there a way to advance the runners all at once when the batter gets a single hit and now one is out ?
