This is really a minor issue but I find it somewhat annoying. After creating a new game, selecting the new game, then clicking "Play" the Line Up card is shown which allows you to make any changes/corrections/position/add players... On the 10.2 Galaxy Tab S only players with single jersey numbers and single character playing positions (Pitch and Catcher) are displayed. In a pinch I called a game on my Galaxy S5 phone and didn't have this issue so this is probably more device related. Link to a Screen shot below:

This means you have increased the font size of your device to be bigger than the default size. If you reduce it back down to the default size, then the 2 characters fit and display correctly. See this link for more information:
