paid web site having slowness issues

Post by gmish » Tue May 03, 2022 1:21 pm

When we go to our team web site iscorebasbeall.com/basil the stats link takes forever to load the statistics. I know it is not an issue with my internet, my browser, or my computer, since I've tested on other networks, browsers, and computers, and it is always the same issue. I have an IT background as well, so my troubleshooting skills are quite high. I was told by support that the issue is that there is so much data, it takes a long time to load. I also know this to not be the case, because this issue just started a few weeks back. We never had any problem loading our stats, and the stat link would open and populate within a fraction of a second. Now it takes 15 to 20 seconds for the stats to load. Any assistance to get our stat link working correctly on our paid site would be greatly appreciated.

It seems like iScore has been given up on. Doesn't look like any new product developments are on the horizon. We reluctantly moved all our teams over to GameChanger. I wouldn't hold my breathe on a fix for website.

first of all, amazing user handle. "You know Darin, if you had told me 25 years ago that someday, I'd be standing here about to solve the world's energy problems, I would have said you're crazy. Now let's push this giant ball of oil out the window!" Puts a smile on my face.

What doesn't put a smile on my face is the fact that I picked the wrong horse 10 years ago when choosing between Iscore and Game Changer.

Wondering:
1) So is Iscore done? I.e. are they even supporting the product anymore, or just taking my money and refusing to help?
2) I've considered a move to Game Changer, but my research has led me to believing all of our stats from the past 10 years will be gone. I.e. GC does not appear to allow for importing of stats from Iscore, or even from a csv file for that matter. Is there any method to get my stats into GC? If so, I'd jump to GC in a second. Thanks for taking the time. Long live Kramerica.

It does appear support is not doing much more than just keeping things basically running at this point. I have no association with the company (and never have). I just hang around to see if I can help users. I have never heard that GC can import anything. Can GC export csv files of stats?

i think GC can export (I think) but not 100% sure. More than anything, at a minimum GC is improving and running its product, supporting it (although only through email), and making updates. More than Iscore is doing at this point. I feel like the industry is ripe for a real company with a real product that is supported. Future Shark Tank episode?

From the state of things, I'm not sure there is enough of a market. The lack of market seems to be what hastens the death of the products. GC has come up with a feasible enough business model. But it is not making tons of money so not much changes with it.

Gmish, kramerica and of course petroguy…thanks.

I have not been on this forum in a long while.. but thought i would reply as belated as it is …

Yes, it is disappointing iscore stalled and time moved on. That’s true.

I was never a developer/owner part of iscore. But i devoted many physical and emotional hours in using iscore and helping the iscore community. But I do not feel i bet on the wrong horse. Rather I enjoyed my time scoring w iscore and the positive virtual community created here.

I hope when you were able to use iScore, in some way the software and the volunteer moderators here (green team) … helped enhance your experience.

The original developers were awesome and I assume had to make personal /life choices on what was best next for them and their time and efforts.

I am sad iscore has not continued to evolve but i thank you, the original developers, the green team volunteers over the years, the community, and my iscore cast audiences for making me truly enjoy scoring w iscore.

The volunteers helped build a community that NEVER got ‘ill spirited’. Looking back That positivity is impressive.
