Is there anyway to import box scores which most colleges have available as pdf files after games? What facility is there in the web connection to do this?

You can get a traditional "box score" for the games you have scored from the Admin Website. To configure your Admin Website, go to Options in iScore, then click "Admin Website" and it will tell you how to access your database and allow you to change your password for the website there.

You can cut and paste the box score easily from the web page into your own document, and then send via email or store as PDF etc.. but at this time you can not send a game specific box score URL link that folks can access directly. [moderator note: you can now send game specific URLs if you have a team web site]

The "Team Website" add on that was recently released actually does allow URLs to Box Scores of specific games. It is essentially the same as the Box Score available in the Admin Website, but formatted based on the styling you set up for your Team Website.

What I want to do is add the box score when I don't make it to the game. I want to import the game data/box scores into the iScore database. Is this possible some how folks?

There is not a way to just bring in the high level box score information... you would have to enter the game into iScore to get the data. If you don't care about balls/strikes, it is actually pretty quick to enter a complete game right from a scoresheet. You don't get as much information as when actually scoring, but you will still get the statistics.

We have an enhancement request on our long list to allow adding statistics manually as well, but it is not currently at the top of the priority list.

Thank you.

if you only have the box score posted by the school then is it that easy to enter by hand? you don't have the order of what happened only the results. I would think you would not get much at all but the basic data for each player.

We were referring to getting the official scorebook that shows batter by batter detail. You can not enter a game into iScore from a box score only. iScore is used to score games, and the stats are a nice output from that, but you can not enter stats and get a scored game.

This should be an option just for the sake of keeping up with the Season Cumulative statistics. Or in my case, delving into using iScore mid-season and not having the correct batting average show on the iScorecast.

This is an extremely old thread (over 2 years old). We have multiple ways of importing data into iScore at this point. If you have existing data in CSV format, you can often import from the Admin Website. You can also create a fake game, end it, then enter cumulative stats as overrides to the statistics calculated for the game.
