Extra Hitter

Post by mpsantos » Mon May 21, 2012 5:44 am

We play in leagues that allow 10 hitters. We also use a DH most of the time. Could we get an EH as a position type in the roster?

Thanks,
Mark

For extra hitter, set batting="Yes" on the lineup screen but don't assign a position.

That is basically how I have been using it. However, it may be nice to have "EH" listed in the scorecard view. Thanks for a great product!

I know it is not statically correct, but I assign DH to all extra hitters. We see teams that bat as many as 11 to 12 in a game. I decided to add the DH tag, so the defensive chart (where the played in each inning) at the end of the game accounts for all players.

My son has played in 18U baseball tournaments all summer. All of these tournaments allow an extra hitter in addition to the designated hitter. Every opposing team we have played has utilized the extra hitter and batted 10 men. I have been coding this EH as a designated hitter which effectively leaves the position blank for the second player listed as the DH. I agree with a previous poster that it would be nice for scorecard purposes to have an EH as an option in addition to the DH.
