Spray charts

How about spray charts for the game. It would be nice to see where everyone hit against a certain pitcher.
Also a way to bring individual spray charts back up during the at bat.

Spray charts automatically come up during the at bat. If you tap in the "0 for 2" area for a batter, it toggles the spray chart between current game, all at bats for the batter, and no spray chart.

Our coach has requested spray charts for each game. Is there any way we can generate that, as well as the cumulative one?

We do not have a report to show hit charts for just a single game. You can view hit charts for an individual player or hit charts for the entire team across the games played, but a hit chart by game is not available. The hit charts really only become useful when you have many games and can see a trend for a particular batter.

Could be done, but would be a pretty tedious/manual process (especially to go back and do for a bunch of games - maintaining one game at a time would be somewhat more manageable.)

I believe that hit charts can also be valuable when scouting another team. How the other team does against my pitcher is important and only applicalbe in a game to game format.

Our coaching staff developed a scouting card several years ago. They, by hand, record a spray chart for each opposing hitter. Left hand pitchers are recorded in RED ink and right and pitchers are recorded in BLACK ink. Dashed lines for grounders and solid lines for fly balls much like iScore does. The right hand/left hand differentiation is nice when facing that team/batter again. They also record the pitch location of the hit, but no other pitch locations.
This is what iScore needs to realize - there are a LOT of coaches that either will not or do not have access to online spray charts, etc. For us to be successful in using this data we are collecting, we MUST put in their hands in a form they will use - paper, unfortunately!
Thanks for listening!

You can get it on paper. You can email the Player Cards and print them. Or you can go to the Admin Website, view the Hit Charts for an entire team at a time (shows each individual player), and Save / Email / Print that PDF. Coaches should be able to make use of it just fine. They do not have to use it only online.

True, Spray charts are only effective if there are a few games entered but they are only truly effective when you can differentiate between left and right handers, specific teams and individual pitchers. I might need to move my infield/outfield based on how the batter has done against an individual. Having a chart with a bunch of lines on it is just not useful. For example, just look at the chart for one of your own batters after 20 games - unreadable.
