League Reporting, e.g. Standings

Post by mcrawford620 » Mon Jan 10, 2011 12:18 pm

Just bought the app and scored a couple of games, nice & easy.

However, I was very surprised at the complete lack of any league reporting. At the very least it should be easy to view league standings.

After that, hitting & pitching leaderboards would be great.

Thanks.

welcome to the community

as you see the curently available product is designed for a team, not a league.

as you know to do leagues you need multiple teams all using the same thing and that takes some serious coordination...

FTM has envisioned an iscore league product to support such and has even tested in a couple tournaments last year and have said they intend to offer a league version later this year. Here are a few examples where complete leagues or tournaments were run with iScore Baseball:

http://leagues.iscorecentral.com/vibl" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

http://leagues.iscorecentral.com/areacode2010" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

http://leagues.iscorecentral.com/nsc2010hs" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

After review of thease, be curious if this is the type of thing you say is "completely lacking" ..

also here is the source thread for those links, and where to get the latest update on league availability....
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2487" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

again, welcome to the community.

In addition, all the data is there to be easily collated if you don't want to wait or want it tailored to your needs. For a sample see http://www.beckmanjm.com/iscore" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; , then select a season from the drop-down.

Thanks for the replies. I saw that thread, and yes, that's what I would need.

I suppose it's because of the development path of the app, but it was just surprising to have a "League" feature that doesn't include any reporting.

Yep, all the information is there and that's what I will have to do, but I was just hoping that the app would do the "easily collated" part. :)

The app most definitely does have reporting for a team. Plus an optional team web site that is easy to maintain for publishing team player stats. The focus to date has been the team.

the notion of using iscore at the " league office or tournament office level" for managing multiple teams games and league standings, league leaders etc... Is a very great idea but a different target audience and end use.

A league office or tourney director iscore manager app so to speak. Vs a team/coach app.
