Pitching count

Post by Ozy » Sun May 17, 2009 7:56 pm

How about resetting pitches thrown when new pitcher is pitching and keeping track of new pitchers pitch count as well as keeping relieved pitchers pitch count.

The application does that currently as long as you are substituting pitchers the right way. Even if a pitcher comes back into the game (as can happen in youth sports), it will restore their pitch counts.

Please make sure you watch the YouTube videos to be sure you are doing pitching substitutions the correct way (should NOT be done on the Lineup.... just a guess at what you may be doing if you are not seeing pitcher's pitch counts being tracked properly).

You can find the YouTube videos at this link:

If you are still having trouble after viewing these videos, please let us know.

Thank you.

Can I use Iscore just to track my son's pitching performance without having to score the entire team/game?

While not intended to work this way, you certainly could. In order to do that, you would actually be tracking the opposing team's at bats. You can create a fake roster for the opposing team just so there are batters that are coming to the plate. This would allow you to track all pitching statistics for your son including the pitch locations, etc. When your own team comes up to bat, just click Misc, End Inning (actually ends the half inning), and wait for the other team to be at bat again.

This will allow you to get lifetime pitching statistics for your son, and you can print the speckle charts of pitch locations from the scorecards for the games as well.

this is the first time i had heard the suggestion to use the "misc end inning feature" to only tack your specific team. in this case it was in the context of tracking only a pitcher, but could be equally applied to past posts (in other areas) that wanted a simpler way to just "track their teams at bats", ie did not care about pitching (eg. coach pitch league). an interesting tip by FTM – that I thought i would call attention to it.
