Box Score: # of pitches and strikes

Post by mikeny » Thu Jul 05, 2018 2:34 pm

I realize that there are three versions of the box scores. 1) the email version, 2) the admin web site version and 3) the team web site version. Currently none of them include the number of pitches pitchers threw and the number of strikes thrown. This is pretty standard in the box scores today. In order to see this info in iScore, one needs to refer to either the game stats or the extra page on the scorecard files. Please consider adding this info to the box scores. Thanks.

If you go to iScore Baseball and use the Watch Game option there and view the game (you will need a subscription or a team website for your team), there is a Box Score available for final games that includes Pitch Counts and Strikes Thrown. We will continue updating our various websites / applications to try and converge on a single box score. The one in the iScore Baseball app is the latest and includes what you are looking for.

Maybe this is true for iOS (not sure) but on my Android devices I have iScore to score the game and iScore Central to access the iScoreCasts. On iScore Central the final box score information only shows the pitch information for the final pitcher in the game, for whatever team pitched last.

Looking forward to the convergence on one box score as you described.

Yeah, the Watch Game menu item in iScore Baseball is currently only available on iOS. So for now to see the pitches thrown / strikes you are going to have to view the stats for the game. In the future we will have the newer box scores available in other places.
