Analytic Enhancements

Post by Jaikee » Thu Jun 28, 2018 8:53 am

With the loss of TruMedia and EdgeHQ there is a hole in the analysis of all the information iScore can bring. I'm not sure what has or hasn't been requested as an enhancement but these are some of the most useful parts of those softwares I found that I would like to see returned in some shape or form:

*Pitcher spray charts
*Compile batter/pitcher match ups
*BA/OBP/K Rate/BB Rate/XBH and more by count breakdown for both pitchers and hitters
*BABIP/Swing & Miss against the different pitch types
*Groundball/Flyball rate against different pitch types
*Pitch break down of how often different pitches are thrown and what type
*Hitter heat maps
*Hitter chase rate (how often a hitter is chasing pitches out of the zone)
*Righty/Lefty Splits
*Pitcher performance by number of times through the line up
*How often a pitch type is thrown for a first pitch strike or strike 3

The information is there and some of this I am able to do by hand after games but it honestly takes me hours to do when it use to be available through one of the add on programs.

We do hope to create a new analytics offering now that EdgeHQ and TruMedia are no longer with us. Thank you for your list of things you would like to see most. If anyone else has features they would like to see in an analytics offering, please let us know.

If you purchase the optional Team Website, you get access to an API that can get you that information. See this link for information about the team website API:

https://api.iscoresports.com/teamwebsiteapi.html

There is one additional call in that API that will give you what you are looking for:

http://api.iscoresports.com/teamwebsite ... B732D93168

The top of the returned XML describes pitch and hit locations. It is not something we officially support however as it would take up way more than $19.99 worth of support time to answer the myriad of questions that can come out of trying to support the details here.

If it is useful to you, and you can understand the data from the information given, we are letting you know it is available.

Iscore was designed more for individual teams .. not multi team leagues.. you should contact siplay.com for league solutions
