It would be great if I could specify on the team options whether the team is male, female, or co-ed. Then, when creating new athletes for that team, have it automatically default to the team's setting (if male or female).

You could have Baseball team types default to male and Softball to female, and that would be fine for most high schools, but may cause issues for those who run recreational programs where that doesn't always correlate.

I'm assuming that this controls the player icon displayed on the scorecasts...I'm not aware of anything else it's used for.

Just one less thing to key in for each player.

Fyi - Historically, the iscorecast icon is driven by baseball/softball selection in game option (not player-by-player profile). In future player gender may drive icon but do not think it does yet

update: I may have spoke to soon in last post. This weekend I noticed, (support can verify) But the player gender male/female choice in a player profile, is now used for the iscorecast and central viewer app icon male/female. this will be great for CO ED teams.

the caveat is you may need to go in and manually set for each player.
