Box Score enhancement - Sort by Averages
I would like to request that the box score be sorted as follows:
Batting, sorted by Averages
Fielding, sorted by fielding percentage
Pitching, sorted by ERA/ERG depending on what was selected in game settings as the number of innings. If 9 is used then ERA, if anything other than 9 is used then ERG.
This would improve the output of the scorecard. Often players in the lineup never get an at bat but they are mingled in on the scorecard. Usability request!

When you send emails, the stats are already sorted in this order.

Not true. Check out http://foster.walkerzone.com/Games/2010 ... 0Lamar.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I sent this email this morning and saved as a webpage. You will see that the averages are not sorted in this order.

Re: Box Score enhancement - Sort by Averages
If you do this, please make it an option. I prefer the current sort order.

Re: Box Score enhancement - Sort by Averages
What is the current sort order?
Re: Box Score enhancement - Sort by Averages
Let me try and clarify ... (and vote for no change)
two different EMAIL "HTML Outputs" with two different sort logics....
* one for Game Stats, "box Scores" and
* one for Cumulative stats
For a Game.
the sort logic is that specific games batting order first batter first, , ninth batter last..
first pitcher in first, relief pitcher next, , closer last
- I think this logic is most intuitive for a game recap stat, similar to newspaper style box score sort.
For Team 'Cumulative' Stats,
the order is different, like you suggest, and i think that makes sense for cumulative stats
hitting is sorted by avg,
pitching sorted by ERA
(ERA and ERG sort order is same if the team/league is consistent in the divisor, ie 6 or 9 throughout)
fielding sorted by FP

Yes, OhioTex has it right... intentionally using those two different sort orders.

Re: Box Score enhancement - Sort by Averages
Yes, I understand what you all are saying. However on our HS team, the coach carries 25 players each game. Not all see play time. Some in the line-up are substituted in the game but show up at the bottom of the line up and their stats are more difficult to find. As you can see below, there are alot that have zero's all the way across. At the very least I would like to see these listed at the bottom of the list with those who have game time stats shown above the rest.

Re: Box Score enhancement - Sort by Averages
I can see where your output is confusing, with the number of players who enter the game but have no at bats and the number apperently that do not enter the game at all.
the sort order for a specific game (not team stats) for batting is suppose to match the line up order. Does the order listed below match your game line up ?? (not the team roster order, but your game specific line up order?). Does the order listed below match the output on your score card?

Re: Box Score enhancement - Sort by Averages
Well, I think the answer is yes, but lets look at an example. The first 9 batters in the list above are correct and are the starting batter/fielders. the rest of the line-up are the players on the bench in alphabetical order by first name so that substituting is easier to find players.
Parker Thomas, second from the bottom was substituted as pitcher in the 6th inning and had two at bats. His stats are burried in amongst all those who saw no play time.
Not sure what you mean
Yes, I wish the coach didn't carry so many players on the varsity team but that is the choice he made and I'm trying to use the app such that it is readable, from a usability perspective.

If I understand your question, yes the first nine batters are listed on the scorecard including the substitutes.Does the order listed below match the output on your score card?
