No-pitch ball; non-coach visit

Post by ETBill » Wed Aug 03, 2022 5:50 pm

Apologies if this is in the app and I'm just overlooking it. I see a no-pitch strike, but not a no-pitch ball. With the new timing rules in place in MiLB, this sometimes gets called. It'd be nice to properly tag this to keep the count correct w/o adding to the pitch count.

Similarly, there are limits on both coach visits and non-coach visits/team conferences. I suppose one could enter 'Coach Visit' then make a note that it was really just a conference, especially since the Coach Visit button doesn't enforce a rule (i.e. it doesn't force a change in the app when one is required by rule) but just thought I'd mention it.

This would be really helpful for college baseball as well.

I would also like to see an ability to have a run rule option. The SEC now has a run rule for all games. If the leading team is ahead by 10 runs after the 7th, the game is over. I can end the game manually, but it would be useful.

The manual Game End has always been the way to handle run ruled games. I'm not saying something automatic wouldn't be useful, but it really is just a couple of taps to end the game. I usually make a note first that the game is ending on a run rule just to help out people following the game remotely.
