Dynamic stats filter interface

Post by Hotshots1999 » Sun Nov 11, 2012 6:03 pm

Create an interface to quickly view team stats based on a selected subset of games in the selected leagues. Current workaround is to setup a ton of leagues to just see how my players perform on a given night or a given day

Thanks

Leagues are the way to filter data. We may add more ways in the future.

For what it is worth, I get that leagues are the answer, but it would be helpful if there was a way to consolidate (from a stat display perspective...specifically on the team web site) leagues. For instance, I keep a league (iscore term) for tournament play and league play. I then have a league for the year. If I want to run stats for tournament play for this year, I have to remove the league association for last years games. If I had a way to run stats for the year league and tournament league, it would be a much simpler process.

I guess I could embed the leagues in the URL...but, it would be a pain for my users.

A game can be assigned to multiple leagues. If you had a league called "Turkey Day Tournament 2012", and assigned the games to it and the team to it, then that tournament would be available in the League dropdown on your team website. The game could also be assigned to a league called "2012". So a user could select "Turkey Day Tournament 2012" to view stats for just that tournament, or "2012" to see all games for 2012.

@ elcray leagues can do what you want, it just takes multiple leagues. what FTM is pointing out is leagues are not only 1:1 you can have one to many relationships. ....
