Alternate scoresheet formats? Reisner?

Post by Alan_A » Fri Apr 20, 2012 10:01 pm

Any chance that iScore will offer alternate scoresheet formats? I keep a Reisner scorebook and would much rather have iScore produce a Reisner scoresheet, as opposed to the traditional one. I know this has been asked and answered before, but not for a couple of years as far as I can tell, so I thought I'd raise the question again and see if there's more chance of a Reisner or other format now than in the past.

Thanks in advance!

We do not currently have plans to introduce any new scorebook formats. Back when it was brought up last time, we tried reaching out to Alex Reisner to get permission to produce his format, and he never responded to our messages.

We have added many new outputs to iScore since the last time we visited this request, and it seems even less relevant now.

Most little leagues / youth leagues expect a standard scorebook as their "official" format, and that is what we provide.

We have an improved iScorecast that lets you replay a game in full on more devices. You can email the complete pitch by pitch listing, a traditional box score like newspapers print, as well as stats and a tradtitional scorebook. There is certainly no lack of information available.

The new outputs are quite good - they add a lot to your product.

As to what's relevant and not - a superior graphic scorecard format is relevant to me, even if it isn't to iScore. I understand if you feel the market demand isn't there - though a real leader might consider leading the market instead of following it.

Thanks for the quick response, and I hope you have continued success.

FTM - For what its worth, I think you are leading the electronic scoring revolution just fine.

I love the current scorecard and definitely would have no interest in anything different.
