Softball Request - Outfielders

I just downloaded this app and it's awesome so far. One thing I noticed is the inability to add more than 10 players in the field. The league I play in has 11 fielders with 5 being in the outfield. They are:
Left
Left Center
Right Center
Right
Short Field

It would be nice to be able to creat a custom fielders layout so these could be set. Maybe in the league management section so it could be set as a league default.

We currently only support up to 10 fielders. We do not get many requests for more than that, but will add this idea to our priority list (in fact, it may already be there from a request some time back). If the number of times this is requested goes up, the priority of doing this will go up as well. Thank you.

I'm curious what age you are scoring with so many outfielders! My guess is a younger age bracket, which probably does not see many balls hit to the outfield. A workaround in this case would be to position 4 outfielders. If your fifth outfielder happens to make a play, just substitute him in prior to scoring the play. That way, his defensive stats would be correct. Your innings played would be off, but you could use notes to indicate who was in the field each inning.

I have the same issue. We use 11 in 8U and 6U. In 8U, there are more balls to the outfield and I end up having to sub players. It also makes the player card less accurate for those playing that position. It can appear you are under playing some players. If you have 12 on a team and have to sit a player out each inning you can tell easily looking at player cards.

It's an adult league, 18+. not sure why there are so many Outfielders. It's been that way since I've been playing. I'm still in a very early learning phase with the app so I haven't learned all the shortcut ways to substitut people as a work around. Thnks for the great info on exactly that. I'll have to figure out what you mean.

It is very easy to sub, and defensive and offensive subs are separate (so a quick defensive sub will not affect your lineup.) To sub a defensive player, just tap on the position in the outfield. This will bring up your roster. You tap on the player subbing in, and then save.

I also need 11 players for 2.5 months of season, then I need 12 for last half. Are you looking into this for the future. I have a lot of people in my league looking into getting this program.

We get a request for more than 10 fielders occasionally, but it is still a relatively rare request. We do have it on our enhancement list, but it is not a very high priority right now based on the number of requests we get for it.
