Changing an error to a double

We had a situation where the official scorer gave an error on a ball to CF. I originally scored it a double, then changed it to an error.

Post-game it was changed back to a double. When I went back to edit the play, I could not select double, only single. It's not a critical error, because the player now has the correct batting average (my initial clue to the change). It would be nice to be able attribute a double.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks, I figured it was something like that. I may resccore from that point. At least now I know. Next time I will score the double and alter post-game if they change it.

Yeah, after editing a few games, you start to learn what is easy to change and what isn't. Then if there is a question in your mind, just score it the way it is easiest to change back if needed.

Yup , I tried to connect offline with new owner and product team but got nowhere. Gave up on its continued viability.

this was neat product and so much credit to the two original developers. Including ability to market to espn back in the day, when you think back on that - major feat.
